Baguley SureStart Centre, Manchester

21 January 2014

Baguley SureStart Centre in Manchester runs three parent-child play sessions a week. FareShare provides healthy snacks for the children to keep them energised and engaged throughout the session. By using FareShare food, the centre is able to keep the cost of the sessions down, making them affordable for parents on low income.

Since receiving FareShare food, the Centre has been able to offer a wider array of activities and classes as a result of saving money on their food shopping. Baguley SureStart also provides families with food parcels to help them with the cost of food should they fall into precarious circumstances resulting from loss of a job or a delay in benefits for example. This service could not be provided without FareShare.

Through their partnership with FareShare, Baguley SureStart is able to provide a lifeline to Manchester’s neediest families as well as provide an energetic family play service, complimented by a healthy snack. This helps kids stay active and healthy!
