How to update the Publish Dates of an Opportunity

The Publish Dates is the date range that your Opportunity will be visible for volunteers to find on the FareShare Community Volunteering Hub.

You may wish to update your Publish Dates for the following reasons:

  • You want to extend the date range so that you’re advertising the volunteer opportunity for longer
  • If you want to remove the opportunity from being advertised (as you may no longer require new volunteers). It’s always best to update the Publish Date rather than delete the opportunity completely. This way, you would be able to duplicate or re-publish the opportunity, should you need volunteers again in future (this is a much quicker set up).
  • If your opportunity has expired and you wish to advertise the role again

To update your Publish Dates

  1. To sign in, go to doit.life/fareshare
  2. Click ‘Sign In’ on the top right and enter your login details
  3. You will be directed to Your Spaces. (Can’t see this option? Click here for more help)
  4. Click ‘Recruit’
  5. Click ‘Opportunities’
  6. Click the three dots on the right of the opportunity you wish to update

  7. Select ‘Edit Opportunity’ on the dropdown
  8. You will be directed to the Edit an Opportunity page
  9. Scroll down and click ‘Next’
  10. Update the Publish Until date range
  11. Scroll to the bottom and click ‘Update Opportunity’

Your changes will be saved and your Publish Dates will be updated.
