FAQs

If you have any questions about using the FareShare Community Hub, please email us at communityhub@fareshare.org.uk for support.

FAQs about Signing Up

  1. I already have an organisation account on Do IT. Is it possible to use this account on the Community Hub (and sync my live opportunities)?
  2. Yes, this is possible. When signing up to the Community Hub, we encourage you to sign up with any existing organisations on do-it.org or doit.life. This will allow you to easily re-publish any live opportunities from Do IT to the Hub (saving you from having to set the opportunities up from scratch).

Here is a full step-by-step guide to help you Sign up with an existing Do IT account

FAQs about Volunteer Opportunities

  1. What is the difference between ‘Opportunity Dates’ and ‘Publish Dates’?
  2. The ‘Opportunity Dates’ will be the date range that the volunteering will take place.
The ‘Publish Dates’ will be the date range that your opportunity will be visible on The Hub for volunteers to find.

  3. I’ve added an opportunity but cannot find it in my admin. How can I find the opportunity?
  4. There are different statuses to a volunteer opportunity:

    1. Draft – the opportunity has not yet been published (so will not be visible to volunteers)
    2. Expired – the Opportunity Dates and/or Publishable Dates have now passed so the opportunity is no longer visible to volunteers
    3. Live – the opportunity has been published and is visible to volunteers

You may have saved the opportunity as a draft or the opportunity may have expired since you created it.

Please check each status tab in your Experiences Dashboard.

Here is a full step-by-step guide to help you Find your Opportunity.

FAQs about Volunteer Applications

  1. How do I know if a volunteer has registered interest in my opportunities?
  2. When a volunteer has registered interest for your opportunity, you will receive an email notification from Do IT. The email subject will be ‘Someone wants to volunteer with you’ and the email will direct you to the application within your admin account.

On your admin dashboard, you will also be made aware of new volunteer applications.

Here is a full step-by-step guide to help you Manage your Volunteer Applications.
