FareShare Go and Foodiverse

If you collect surplus food through FareShare Go from Tesco, Waitrose, Jacks, Booker or KFC, you will need to use the Foodiverse app to receive food offers from your local supermarket.

From Friday 1 April, your collections will stop if you do not use the Foodiverse app. All FareShare Go notifications for these stores will be sent through the Foodiverse app from this date so it is important that you ensure you are using the app well before this date.

You can download the Foodiverse app from the Apple App Store or from the Google Play Store.

To set up your Foodiverse account for the first time, please visit the Foodiverse website and follow the instructions in the video below to register.

If you have any questions about your Foodiverse account you can call the support line on 0131 6080967 and select option one for tech support or email support@fareshare.org.uk.

Whether you’re new to FareShare Go, or just need a refresher on how to use the Foodiverse app, you will find some useful training videos below to help you get started.

Charities already getting food through FareShare Go

Please note: the SMS service stops on Thursday 31 March 22. In order to continue your FareShare Go collections you will need to have logged in to the Foodiverse app by Friday 1 April 2022 as all offers will use the app from this point onwards. The Foodiverse app can also help unlock more surplus food for your organisation.

If you’re already receiving food through FareShare Go and you currently receive SMS notifications, your Foodiverse app account is ready for you. All you need to do is set a password and login.

Navigating the Foodiverse app

  • Check your collection schedule
  • Check your impact to see how many collections you’ve made, how much food you’ve collected, the equivalent in meals and how much CO2 you’ve saved
  • Check your settings

Foodiverse App Notifications

We know that some of our community groups have experienced some technical difficulties with their app notifications and we have found that many of the issues experienced with Foodiverse are interlinked with the mobile user’s own phone settings. Android devices in particular have various default battery related settings which can often prevent notifications refreshing in real time.

To help you navigate some of the common issues, we have created two guides for iOS and Android which show how you can ensure compatibility with your device’s settings and Foodiverse notifications to prevent you missing any of your donation offers:
