Growing Concerns at FareShare Cymru

27th January 2014

[half]A group of green fingered volunteers have been busy growing vegetables over the summer for FareShare Cymru. Building poly tunnels, planting seeds and battling pests, the team turned a patch of land into a thriving community allotment.

The harvest – including beans, broccoli, courgettes and cabbages – was distributed to FareShare’s community food members, supplementing surplus food from food manufacturers and supermarkets. The South Wales charities to benefit included homeless shelters, community churches and schools.[/half][half_last]
