Brand & Engagement Officer

Location: Deptford, London

About the role

FareShare has an experienced Marcomms department working to raise our profile and strengthen our brand amongst the general public, the food industry, our charity members, the media and other stakeholders. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic individual who feels passionate about food poverty and food waste in the UK.

This role is vital in strengthening FareShare’s ability to promote its work and the issues of food waste and food poverty. Your key focus will be to:

  • Gather and provide content and evidence of FareShare’s work and impact (e.g. case studies, research)
  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral to promote this and in the process maintain and ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate and promote FareShare through various communications channels (events, website, newsletters)

Commercial Officer

Location: Deptford, London

About the role

By ensuring good food is not wasted, we turn an environmental problem into a solution, helping to feed thousands of vulnerable people every day.This important role will focus on providing predictable, varied and growing volumes of surplus foods to support the 2000+ charities we support across the country- a number which is growing by the month and will be heavily influenced by the successes you have.

Your role will be to manage these existing with support from the Commercial Manager and new business relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry to generate value for the partner and secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network.

You will also be required to work closely across the partner organisations such as Supply Chain, CSR, Corporate Sustainability, Marketing, Operational, Logistics and Buying functions with support from the Commercial Manager to understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value and to work closely with FareShare colleagues in the national office and from across the country to support the food partners in communicating this positive social and environmental impact.

West Midlands Warehouse Manager

Location: Nechells, Birmingham

About the role

To supervise the successful day to day operations and ensure the ongoing success of the FareShare Regional Centre. This will involve working closely with and manage volunteers to ensure that all operational activities are competed to the agreed timetable.

With the Development Manager, develop new operational/logistic activity and lead on implementation. Responsible for all compliance issues including food hygiene, health and safety and security of the depot and the safety and wellbeing of all depot staff and volunteers.  In the course of the week, depot is open between 7:00-17:00, usually working a seven-hour shift pattern, 35 hours per week. This may include working in evenings and weekends.

Project Coordinator Executive (FareShare FoodCloud)

Location: Oxford

About the role
As Project Coordinator Executive, you will be line managed by the local FareShare FoodCloud Regional Officer and find leads in the region you cover, to develop into permanent partnerships between stores and charities. The successful candidate must be resourceful and have the ability to build long lasting trusting relationships.

At its heart, this role is about making connections and building relationships. Successful candidates will demonstrate that they have the ability to work collaboratively with others and act with integrity and professionalism. Whilst we expect candidates to demonstrate that they have good technical and organisational skills, you must also have strong interpersonal skills to be able to build trusting relationships.

FareShare East Midlands Customer Services

Location: Narborough, Leicestershire

About the role

This role is an important cog in FareShare’s work. We need someone to talk directly with our charities and community groups to create food orders for the warehouse teams to assemble and also visit our community groups annually to check that they are managing our food according to their agreement. This role would suit someone looking to develop their customer service skills, someone looking to gain experience in the food or charity sector.
