F45 Training studios across the country unite to fight hunger with charity-led virtual workouts

11 February 2021

Fitness franchise F45 Training has announced plans to rally local communities together to raise vital funds for food charity FareShare, through a series of open-for-all weekly virtual workouts.

In a bid to inspire, motivate and support people during the testing lockdown, over 25 studios from across the UK are hosting charity-led virtual workouts every Saturday throughout the month of February, with all proceeds being donated to FareShare.

Every Saturday morning in February from 10am-11am, F45 Training is inviting people of all abilities to donate as little or as much as they like in exchange for a spot in the virtual class, joining hundreds of fellow participants to sweat out an F45 Training Hollywood workout from the comfort of their own homes.

The fitness brand, famous for its ‘Team Training, Life Changing’ mantra, is encouraging members and non-members alike to get involved with its fun, easy-to-follow high-intensity interval training workout which can be carried out with zero gym equipment. The 60-minute workout will combine interval, cardiovascular and strength training, which has been proven to be the most effective workout method for burning fat and building lean muscle.

Nikki Powell, European Performance Manager at F45, said: “As the UK’s leading fitness network we’ve always encouraged teamwork amongst our community, and with the current lockdown there’s no better time than now to rally that team spirit together for the greater good. We’re proud to be supporting FareShare which is working tirelessly to tackle child food poverty. By signing up to one of F45’s charity-led virtual workouts and donating just £1, FareShare can fund up to four meals for people in need. It’s all about making a difference and we hope people of all fitness levels will join us in our weekly virtual workouts.”

Lindsay Boswell, FareShare Chief Executive, said: “Since the start of the Covid-19 crisis, FareShare has doubled the amount of food distributed and we are now supplying thousands of charities with enough food to create 2 million meals each week - which is why we are so grateful to F45 Training and its members for their support during this time. Every £5 raised could enable FareShare to distribute up to 20 meals to people who might not otherwise eat, so every pound really can make a difference.”
