Sir Lenny Henry
Comedian and actor Sir Lenny Henry visited staff and volunteers at the warehouse to find out how FareShare gets good quality food to frontline charities. He said: “FareShare are an amazing group of people who make sure that food that would otherwise have gone to waste ends up back on the table.”
FareShare Southern Central Development Manger Claire Martin, said: “It was such a pleasure to show Sir Lenny around the warehouse, and tell him more about the difference our food makes to those charities supporting people in food poverty, such as breakfast clubs for children, refuges and homeless hostels. “
FareShare’s Head of Fundraising Lindsey Cape, said: “We’re so grateful to everyone who has donated this Red Nose Day. Your gift means we can continue to get great food to people who really need it, right across the UK.”
