“Any funds are always welcome to help us feed people first...”

A capacity crowd of over 1,500 ACT members filled London’s Grosvenor House Hotel for its annual gala. John Bason, FareShare Chair of Trustees (pictured), introduced guest speaker Ed Balls.to the appreciative audience to hear anecdotes, both political and Strictly. A luxury raffle and silent auction raised £55,000, with £5,000 designated for the ACT's Educational Trust.

FareShare Head of Fundraising Lindsey Cape said: “We’re so grateful to groups such as the ACT for selecting us as recipients of their gala fundraiser. Any funds are always welcome to help us feed people first; also the ACT Gala helped us to raise awareness with many companies in the financial sector of the benefits of a partnership with FareShare.

“But the real and immediate impact is that £50,000 will help us provide 200,000 meals to people in need.”
