To mark International Women’s Day we’re celebrating our amazing female food heroes. Today we catch up with Kate Prince, Corporate Responsibility Manager at Kellogg’s.
“Kellogg’s has been supporting FareShare for ten years,” Kate explains. “First in our home of Manchester, then developing the partnership to donate food to depots nationally”.
“The people we want to help through our community programmes are always front and centre of my plans,” says Kate. “I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with FareShare and seeing the amount of good quality, perfectly edible food that might otherwise have gone to waste is truly astonishing.”
A big part of Kate’s role in Corporate Responsibility is partnership. “We must collaborate internally and externally, whether that’s with the Supply Chain manager at Kellogg’s or an expert at one of our charity partners,” she says. “The difference FareShare makes to beneficiary charities can be life changing, so I’m a huge advocate of FareShare’s work. I recommend volunteering with charities so you really understand the big issues impacting society and go above and beyond to learn about the industry."
