We are always grateful for the support of partners, funders and volunteers who helps us to fight hunger and tackle food waste.
The John Laing Charitable Trust have been supporting FareShare since 2008. The Trust has been exceptionally generous during this time, with grants worth £250,000, and we're incredibly grateful their continued support. Over the last decade funding from the John Laing Charitable Trust has helped FareShare dramatically scale up the impact of its work, providing good quality surplus food to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, thorough a network of frontline charities.
Since the John Laing Charitable Trust's first donation, FareShare’s reach has grown seven-fold. In 2008 we were supplying just 500 charities, and handling 2,000 tonnes of food. Last year we provided 16,992 tonnes of good quality surplus food to 9,653 charities and community groups across the UK.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the trustees and staff at John Laing Charitable Trust for their support, enabling FareShare to scale up our impact, and continue our life-changing work.
