Sainsbury’s is once again giving online customers the chance to donate to FareShare while they shop.
“We are truly grateful to our food partner Sainsbury's for this ongoing support of FareShare.
“Thanks to generous donations from Sainsbury's online shoppers last year, we have been able to provide our network of charities and community groups with a range of tinned fish, meat and fruit.
“The food parcels being provided by our charity partners are vital to millions of people facing poverty across the UK, including children, families and the elderly. By supporting FareShare through online donations, Sainsbury's customers have enabled us to continue reaching these vulnerable people by providing them with nutritious food.
“Thank you to Sainsbury's and its customers for this vital support.”
Lindsay Boswell, FareShare Chief Executive
Thanks to the generosity of Sainsbury’s customers, who were able to donate while doing their online shop last Autumn, FareShare was able to provide tinned fish, meat and fruit to thousands of charities and community groups supporting people in need across the UK.
With communal meals no longer an option due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many of our charity partners switched to providing food parcels. The tinned food provided by Sainsbury’s customers has been an important, nutritious addition to these parcels and will continue to provide much-needed support to people across the UK.
With 100% of the donations going to FareShare, customers can add £1, £2, £5 or £10 to their online grocery order for a limited time only.
With your donation;
This time, we hope to raise even more to support people who really need it.
