The Jolly Hog partner with FareShare to help feed those in need

26 October 2021

The Jolly Hog has partnered with FareShare to help get food to vulnerable people across the UK. They have committed to donate 50,000 packs of ham per year to FareShare, enough to create 200,000 ham sandwiches.

“We have always admired the amazing work that FareShare does, so we couldn’t be more excited to partner with them and use the incredible infrastructure they’ve built. With the launch of our Jolly Good Ham, we thought this was the perfect time to get free ham to people that need it the most.”

The Jolly Hog will also be including its Scotch Eggs in the donation to FareShare from October, aiming to supply 10,000 Scotch Eggs in the first year to children and families through the partnership.

Max Kohn, Co-founder of The Jolly Hog, says: “We have always admired the amazing work that FareShare does, so we couldn’t be more excited to partner with them and use the incredible infrastructure they’ve built. With the launch of our Jolly Good Ham, we thought this was the perfect time to get free ham to people that need it the most. Lots of children and families struggle to get good quality meat, and partnering with FareShare gives us the opportunity to help in the best way we can. We hope to do this activity across multiple product categories in the future, and we are looking forward to a long-lasting partnership with FareShare.”

Lindsay Boswell, FareShare Chief Executive, said: “We are very grateful to The Jolly Hog for their ongoing support. In the aftermath of the pandemic, and with the cost of living increasing, many more families will turn to the charities we supply with food for care and support. The donations from Jolly Hog will help us get vital food supplies to the communities who need it most. Last year FareShare delivered food to almost 11,000 charities across the UK, and this would not have been possible without the generous support of food partners like The Jolly Hog.”
