FareShare South West has launched a new warehouse in the heart of Plymouth, Devon. The new warehouse which officially opened in May 2022 currently serves over 40 charities across Devon and Cornwall.
This warehouse represents a commitment to growing FareShare South West’s food redistribution across the Devon and Cornwall regions. Long term, they aim to work with local partner charities to extend the service further into Cornwall.
During February 2020, FareShare South West opened a food hub with Exeter Food Action to support charities and initiatives across Exeter, East Devon, Mid Devon, Teignbridge and Torbay.

FareShare South West, operated in partnership with Community Initiatives South West Ltd, is part of the UK-wide FareShare network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. FareShare South West saves over 2,000 tonnes of good surplus food from right across the food supply chain and redistribute it to over 400 charities and community groups. These charities provide meals as part of their services to people in need – such as children’s breakfast clubs, day clubs for older people, domestic violence refuges, homeless shelters and drug and alcohol rehab units. In the last year FareShare South West enabled over 4,860,844 meals.
