We continue a full national operation to get food to vulnerable people during the Covid-19 crisis.

During February 2020, we're bringing the service to Exeter and need your support. We need Drivers and Drivers Assistants to support with the delivery of vital food supplies to our network of schools, charities and initiatives across Exeter, East Devon, Mid Devon, Teignbridge and Torbay.

We're currently looking for volunteers in Devon and we’re due to launch the FareShare service in Marsh Barton, Exeter during February 2020. The project will be run in partnership with a local charity, Exeter Food Action. For the moment, volunteers will be inducted and managed by FareShare South West in Bristol. In the future this will be undertaken by our charity partners which is why the application process is slightly different.

FareShare South West background

FareShare South West forms part of the UK's largest food charity, FareShare. We are one of a network of 21 centres located across the country. We are a community of independent franchised charities, all fighting the same issues: food waste and hunger. Over 270,000 tonnes of perfectly edible surplus food is thrown away each year. We want to see that food put to good use. FareShare South West help tackle food poverty by redistributing surplus food across the region, using quality, in-date surplus food which would otherwise have gone to waste.
