FareShare relies on grants to provide vital contributions to our running costs, as well as funding particular projects and specific areas of our work. Support from trusts and foundations at both regional and national level has enabled FareShare to dramatically increase the amount of food we can redistribute to frontline charities supporting vulnerable people, such as homeless hostels, refuges, breakfast clubs and day centres for older people.
We are committed to building long-term relationships with our partners, and offer a wide range of funding options. Each one of our supporters receives dedicated support from a member of our experienced Trusts and Grants team, who will help you meet your goals while ensuring your grant is having a real and lasting impact.
We provide our partners with regular communication about the difference their support is making. We are proud of our monitoring and evaluation processes, and can provide you with inspiring stories from the charities we supply as well as the people who benefit from our food. We can also organise visits to any one of our 22 Regional Centres so you can see the difference your contribution makes first hand.
To discuss a potential grant, please contact our dedicated Trusts and Grants team on trusts@fareshare.org.uk or 0207 064 8924. Whether you want to support a specific area, would like your contribution to be spent where it is needed most, or are just interested in learning more, we’d love to hear from you. Together we can discuss your key aims and priorities and how these might align with different aspects of our work.
We would like to thank all of the trusts, foundations, lotteries and statutory funders who support FareShare. Our work would not be possible with you.
FareShare has been working with the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation since 2005. Their most recent grant of £1.25 million (spread over five years) provides an essential long-term contribution to our core functions. This includes our Food Team, responsible for building relationships with manufactures, suppliers and retailers across the industry to access more surplus, and our Operation Team, who ensure that food reaches charities safely.
Comic Relief have generously supported FareShare since 2014. They have provided funding towards key staff posts that have overseen the increase in volumes of food FareShare receives and redistributes, and have been instrumental in our incredible growth in recent years.
The Hemby Charitable Trust are a longstanding partner of FareShare. Their most recent grant of £2,000 is helping FareShare Merseyside by contributing to the running costs of one of our refrigerated delivery vans that redistribute food to charities and community groups across the region.
