This week the Global FoodBanking Network Institute Leadership Conference opens in London. Taking place in the UK for the first time, it brings together experts from across the world to share their knowledge and experience working to redistribute food surplus.

Ahead of the first day of the conference 60 delegates from across the globe visited the FareShare London warehouse. FareShare CEO Lindsay Boswell also addressed delegates on the opening morning of the conference, saying: “At our heart we’re an environmental organisation – we believe no good food should go to waste.”

Delivering the keynote speech Tesco CEO, Dave Lewis, said: “No single company can [tackle food redistribution] alone…It requires businesses, governments and companies to work together.”

With representatives from over 50 countries, the conference includes panel discussions, case studies and strategies workshops – all designed to help organisations share their experiences and best practice.

Find out how FareShare could help you to redistribute your food surplus to frontline charities here.
