Calling All Volunteers! Tesco Food Collection Needs You!

We are looking for volunteers to greet customers in Tesco stores and encourage them to buy one or two additional items of non perishable food for Fare Share. This food will then be redistributed by Fare Share to the 1700 charities Fare Share supports within the UK.

From the food that Fare Share receives, 86% is fresh with a comparatively small percentage of long life foods such as rice, pasta, tea and coffee. The food collection really helps us source these store cupboard items and enables us to keep a steady amount of support towards the charities that we help.

Your help will really make a difference, Fare Share estimates that four volunteers over a three hour period will collect half a tonne of food contributing to 1190 meals.
