Wasting good food should never be cheaper than feeding people. That’s why FareShare has launched the #FoodOnPlates campaign, aiming to get more surplus food to those who need it.
‘Lifeline’ UK government funding that helped farmers send their unsold food to charities has been axed – and calls to renew it have been rejected. FareShare is campaigning for this funding to be continued and extended. Without this funding 53 million meals worth of food a year will be needlessly wasted. FareShare would like to thank our supporters in Westminster, who are taking a stand against food waste.
