
CEO
Kris is the CEO and helps redistribute the food. Supports FareShare’s Network of Regional Centres, FareShare Go operations, food and people safety, logistics and coordination and the amazing community of charities. Also responsible for strategic external relationships with other charities and food redistributors.
Before working at FareShare, Kris lived and worked in France, India, Croatia and Romania on a range of engineering projects after finishing a PhD in Environmental Chemistry and Engineering. Kris is also the co-founder and Chair of an international, epidemiological society.

Chief Transformation Officer
Philippa Ward has spent 15 years leading in charities growing through growth and change, building culture to achieve impact. She has worked as a consultant with retailers, the NHS and schools to deliver behaviour change projects, as well as in transformation leadership roles at national charities.
She was most recently Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation at the Scout Association, where she led on the design of their new strategy and was accountable for delivery of the Portfolio of change projects, including a major digital and culture transformation with their 140,000 volunteers.
Philippa retuned to Fareshare in May, having been Head of Organisational Development from 2018 to 2021. Philippa is a qualified coach and trained facilitator, and spent the first decade of her career as a journalist and editor.

Director of Network
Gareth joined FareShare in February 2024 in the role of Network Director and is responsible for the strengthening and development of FareShare’s nationwide network of delivery partners. He has over 16 years of experience in the non for profit and surplus food redistribution sector, with 11 of those years serving as CEO of FareShare Yorkshire. Gareth is a natural collaborator and one of his main focus areas will be forging strategic partnerships to increase the charity’s impact. Gareth currently leads the King’s Coronation Food Project for FareShare, a significant project for FareShare where 10 new distribution HUBs will be established across the UK.
A keen follower of sport, karting racer and voluntary charity Trustee, Gareth enjoys his time off walking his dog with his family in the Peak District near where he lives.

Head of Finance
Jolanta joined FareShare in October 2021 as Head of Finance. The charity really excites her as she loves how it combines making good use of surplus food to alleviate food poverty and reduce food waste. At a time of substantial transition for the organisation Jolanta brings in an extensive experience of finance in the charity sector alongside an interest in psychology with an aim to develop the FareShare finance team, processes and systems.
A strong believer in the value of the community, Jolanta also has a longstanding passion for sustainability issues and has previously worked for Forum for the Future (a sustainability not for profit charity) and for Friends of the Earth (an environmental campaigning charity). In her free time she is involved in community led projects; Jolanta has been a treasurer at Myatts’ Fields Park Project in South London for a number of years and more recently she has been enjoying getting her hands dirty developing a local community garden, with the aim of increasing the biodiversity and bringing nature and people together.

Head of FareShare Go
As Head of FareShare Go, Katie is responsible for leading the award winning redistribution service which delivers end of day/back of store surplus food from our retail and food partners to over 3,600 charities across the charity network on a daily basis. Katie, who has been working in FareShare Go since 2016, manages the operational delivery team, the food partners team and the product team, who in partnership with our technology partners, ensure that our donation platform is operating at an optimal level for our charities and food partners to access.
Katie has worked in the charity sector for almost 20 years so has a wealth of both national and local charity experience, focusing on programme management and service delivery. Katie lives in Sheffield, loves the Peak District, the outdoors and spending as much time as possible travelling to the beach to seek the sea air with her 2 small children.

Head of Retail
Polly Hofmann is Head of Retail for FareShare, leading the team who manage partnerships with retailers and the foodservice and wholesale industry.
Polly has worked in corporate-facing roles in the Third Sector for over ten years, six of which were been spent in FareShare’s Food Team. Polly lives in Brighton with her partner and toddler, and likes sea swimming and walking in The Downs.

Head of External Affairs
Ben manages FareShare’s marketing and communications activity. He is responsible for the activity to promote FareShare’s vital work to strengthen communities through food across a multitude of channels from press to political engagement. Ben has spent his career working in the not-for-profit and public sector and is experienced in developing national campaigns and strengthening communications functions. He previously led communications at the Chartered College of Teaching and held senior roles at the National Lottery Community Fund and other charities.
Ben is also a huge David Bowie fan and thinks Paul McCartney is the best Beatle.

Head of Project Delivery
Anne-Marie joined FareShare in 2020 as an IT Project Manager. In June 2024, Anne-Marie became the Head of Project Delivery, where she established a new department dedicated to enhancing the delivery of FareShare’s portfolio of projects and programmes. This team focuses on managing large, complex projects critical to delivering our mission, while also providing support, mentoring, and guidance to project managers across various departments.
Before embarking on a career in project management, Anne-Marie set up and ran a successful catering business. It was through this venture that she first engaged with FareShare, providing surplus food to a local regional centre. This experience fostered a strong commitment to our mission and values.
Outside of work, Anne-Marie is a passionate rugby league fan and has recently taken up learning blues and boogie woogie piano. Residing in Sheffield, she frequently takes advantage of the nearby Peak District for hiking adventures.

Head of Food Alliances
Chris is the Head of Food Alliances at FareShare, where he oversees many of our supply chain intervention and collaboration projects such as The Coronation Food Project, FareShare’s FLEX programme and our repacking and relabelling initiatives. Chris focuses on increasing food volumes through strategic partnerships and collaboration with key food industry partners.
With over eight years of experience in the third sector, mainly focussed on corporate partnerships, Chris has worked with brands like Nando’s, KFC, Amazon, and Unilever to build mutual partnerships that benefit communities and the environment. Before FareShare Chris worked at In Kind Direct, sourcing donations of surplus non-food products for charities. His background is in new business, building relationships and aligning partner strategies to benefit communities and the environment. When Chris isn’t at FareShare he is mostly found cycling or fixing bikes.
