Tesco Food Collection

Thank you for your support and interest in volunteering with us at the Tesco Winter Food Collection. We’d love to have you join our team.

We are collecting food donations this winter in Tesco stores between Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 November 2025.

We need volunteers to help in-store, to promote the collection, encourage customers to donate long-life food items, and collect food donations. The food collected is provided to our network of over 8,000 charities, including children’s breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch groups, and grassroots organisations that tackle isolation and hardship.

Demand for our support continues to increase, and we need to source food in a variety of ways to meet this demand. This is where the Tesco Food Collection comes in, and why it is so important.

We believe that good food should go to people, not waste.

We take good quality surplus food from across the food industry, and get it to frontline charities and community groups who need it most.

We have a network of 34 warehouses across the UK, and together we support more than 8,000 front line charities and community groups, including children’s breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch groups, and grassroots organisations that tackle isolation and hardship.

Demand for our support continues to increase, and we need to source food in a variety of ways to meet this demand. This is where the Tesco Food Collection comes in, and why it is so important.
