This March, FareShare and Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) are celebrating the first anniversary of our 2.5 year partnership.
In 2023, YBS staff chose FareShare as their charity partner until 2026, aiming to raise £1 million to support an employability programme that will help 2,500 people enter the world of work. Through this initiative, FareShare and YBS are empowering people to overcome financial hardship and build their own brighter futures.
The one year milestone marks an incredible year of achievements and offers and opportunity to reflect on the enthusiasm and commitment of YBS colleagues. From fundraising activities to volunteering efforts, their support has been truly inspirational.
One of the standout moments of the partnership so far was the remarkable effort of over 240 YBS colleagues participating in the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. Their 26-mile fundraising hike raised over £51,000.
FareShare would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the partnership so far and the employability programmes it is enabling. Together we have set the stage for another two years of impactful partnership.
We are looking forward to making a difference to even more lives.
