Volunteers’ Week – A Time to Say Thank You
Last year, 2,000 of you volunteered over 290,000 hours of your time to help bring meals to people that need it the most. Volunteers’ Week is an opportunity for us to celebrate the time and effort volunteers put in, and the difference you make in your local communities.
“Without the amazing team at FareShare Greater Manchester, we couldn’t help our community like we do Every week we are surprised by the help we receive.”

With depots all over the UK that serve people from different backgrounds, we rely heavily on volunteers and staff who understand local contexts. Part of the reason that our partner charities are able to say they enjoy working with FareShare is you. So if you drove a van or rode a bike to deliver food, sorted and picked in the warehouse, worked in the office contacting our Community Food Members, turned surplus food to meals in one of our kitchens, or helped us fundraise; your contribution has been invaluable, and we are endlessly grateful for your ongoing support, dedication, and commitment to volunteering with us.
