Yes! We understand that surplus food is unpredictable and often happens at short notice. We’ve got 34 large warehouses across the UK – which means we can quickly and safely transport surplus food into our network, and absorb greater volumes at short notice where necessary.

Yes. We know that the majority of food waste occurs in the supply chain, before products even hit the supermarket shelves. That’s why we want to make it as easy as possible for manufacturers and hauliers to donate good quality surplus food to us and feed people in need.
We have retailer authorisations from Asda, Aldi, Booker, Co op, Lidl, M&S, Pret a Manger, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose & Partners. If your customer isn’t listed here, don’t worry. Give us a call on 020 7064 8911 and we’ll seek authorisation on your behalf.
Food safety is key to everything we do, and we operate to exactly the same standards as the food industry. Our food management systems ensure full compliance and traceability and our Regional Centres are independently audited every year.
FareShare redistributes surplus food to 8,500 charities and community groups across the UK – from domestic violence refuges and breakfast clubs for children, to homeless hostels, community cafes and lunch clubs for older people. As well as tackling hunger and food poverty, the charities we supply seek to address the multiple challenges faced by some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
Yes. The FareShare Surplus with Purpose Fund aims to offset the costs of diverting surplus food to charities. It can cover costs including additional resource and labour costs, as well as packaging, labelling, transport and freezing costs, and any lost income from recycling.
Your business could be eligible for up to £50,000** worth of funding to unlock new lines of surplus stock (greater sums can be negotiated where appropriate for high volumes of surplus food). Our food team will be able to tell you whether your business is eligible.
FareShare is set up to take large volumes of food from the food industry. For that reason we can’t take surplus food from individuals. We recommend individuals use a food sharing app like Olio instead.
