We continue a full national operation to get food to vulnerable people during the Covid-19 crisis.

FareShare Midlands redistributes surplus food to over 500 charities and community projects across the West and East Midlands region. The community projects are all focused on helping vulnerable people in need, such as the elderly and individuals at-risk of isolation, recovering substance misusers, as well as people in homeless shelters and children in youth centres, plus many more.

Using surplus food from FareShare Midlands, they are able to provide crucial support, essential food and freshly cooked nutritious meals to those in need, providing a lifeline to vulnerable people across the Midlands.

Voices from FareShare Midlands…

“It’s great fun, we all get on well and I’ve got to know a lot of people. The bags of deliveries can often contain surprises, you never know what you will find! When you find something special like a birthday cake that is in date, you get a buzz knowing someone is going to enjoy them. There’s something very satisfying about “rescuing” food that would otherwise go to waste”.
Cat, volunteer at FareShare Midlands

“Your mental health and physical health are linked and good food gives you energy, it lifts your mood. Good food is a tremendous boost for the people we support.”

Teresa Clements, Project Manager at Brushstrokes, supporting refugees.
