FareShare East Anglia operates from its base in Ipswich and covers a wide geographical area. Our mission is to prevent good food from going to waste by redistributing it to charities and community groups across East Anglia.
Starting from scratch seven years ago, we have grown rapidly and last year distributed 685 tonnes of surplus food to 141 charities members – enough to provide 1.6 million meals to the people at risk of hunger. Currently we serve Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire. We are developing and will be shortly starting to serve Hertfordshire and Huntingdonshire.
To handle increased demand, we have recently moved to a larger premises in Ipswich where we handle fresh, frozen, chilled, and ambient food including bulk catering packs.
We operate a delivery service or if preferred collections can be made from the Ipswich warehouse.
